Ninja Bubble Tea is considered the place for popular Class IV discipuli to go to by a group of freshmen.
The Ninja Bubble Tea Place, which had opened just last school year proved to be a big hit for the TBLS community, especially with the freshmen class this particular year. When coming upon the bubble tea place at around 4:40 pm with my friends, I tried their passion fruit bubble tea. The drink was definitely sweet, cold and tasty, but the bubbles felt a little hard and cold. While I was there, I had a chance to interview the staff about how they felt in terms of the students who come in. One of them replied with, “They're cool, they're loud but they're kids.” When asked about which age group she believes the students were, she responded back with, “I can't tell if they were freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors.” She also informed us that the busiest times of the place were definitely about 2:45 to 4:20ish, meaning that TBLS discipuli mainly spent around two hours at the place.
When I attempted to interview a group of freshmen, many of them told me that they didn't go to the bubble tea place and that “only the popular kids went.” This indicates that the store could possibly act as a social hierarchy among the freshmen class. A freshmen I had managed to interview and receive answers through is Maisha Zui. When I asked her about her thoughts on why she perceived the Ninja bubble tea place to be so alluring and appealing to her class, she had responded with, “It's fun and chaotic. It has games.” After this response, she went on to inform me that although it is a fun place, she stopped going eventually because the trend of bubble tea has died down for her, but it has not for her classmates. Another Class IV discipula I interviewed was Kayla Morgan. When I asked her the same question I asked Zui, she responded with how at the beginning of the year, her friend wanted to go get bubble tea and they had seen a mention of the Ninja bubble tea place in the TBLS confessions page. After that, she started attending more often and she said that while she was there, “We made other friends and they joined our group too and we continued to hang out there.” Morgan also comments that her friends and her are a big group and because of that, they receive attention. She, however, doesn’t believe that her friend group nor her are popular; instead, she claims that they talk a lot and are really social. However, when asked whether or not she thinks she’ll continue to go for her remaining years at TBLS, she responds with, “No. We barely go anymore, only sometimes.” This response parallels with Zui’s response on the trend of the bubble tea place. It does, in fact, seem to be dying down in terms of favor among TBLS freshmen and may soon be unpopular.
